“I initially contacted Roy to obtain information regarding tanking the ground floor of my recently purchased house. As the first time buyer of a property in the Balckpool area i was at a loss as to where to turn for getting work done. Roy was recommended to me by another of his satisfied customers who told me that i should get a quote and see what would be the best plan. I found that the property required a lot more work than the survey had found. I asked Roy to run through the works needed and information as to how to best make the repairs and a reasonable price to have these works done. The first job on the house, tanking of the ground floor party walls was undertaken and completed quickly and to a quality I found difficult to believe. I asked Roy to quote for the bay window to be repaired and for some stonework to be replaced. “About twelve months ago we needed our house to be damp proofed and set about organising a number of quotes for the work to be carried out.

Although not the cheapest, we decided to give the work to Roy based on his approach to us as potential customers. He fully discussed with us the problems with rising damp, how this had occurred and detailed what exactly was needed to overcome it. He also outlined how the work would be carried out and the time involved completing it. We were very impressed with his knowledge, experience and the portfolio he showed high degrees of skill. The bonus for us was that having made this impressive presentation, he confirmed that he would be carrying out the work himself - in other words this was not just a sales pitch from a company representative.

The work itself was undertake exactly as described. It was clean, given the requirement of knocking off old plaster, and completed within the time scale specified by Roy. At all times he kept us informed as to the processes being employed by him to eliminate the problem.

We would recommend Roy for this or any type of work he says that he is able to undertake. In fact, we have recently called upon his services for another small job requiring remedial work to our house. Based on our experiences, we would not hesitate to recommend him to others or employ him again.”
